We Are Called To Walk In Faith
Friend, we are called to walk in faith, not by sight.
His word is a sure foundation.
While the world around us is ever-changing, God is not and will always be a stronghold in our lives.
Jesus tells us in Matthew 7:24-25- therefore, everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, yet it did not fall because it had its foundation on the rock.
Jesus, He is our rock and our hope.
Yet how often do we cling to worldly answers instead of placing our hope on the unshakeable One?
The world around us is easily swayable, friend, yet we tend to clasp onto what we can see and understand because we often desire to know and control the outcome.
But, as believers, we are called to walk in faith.
And many times, that means not having all the answers or fully understanding why something happens the way it does.
But, He is still good and trustworthy even when we can’t fully understand life’s circumstances.
When we draw near to God and make His word our sure foundation through hearing and doing as Jesus said, we are building our hope on His unshakeable ground instead of the sway of this world.
We are walking in faith, not by sight.
The late C.S. Lewis once said- life with God is not immunity from difficulties but peace in difficulties.
Friend, I pray that even in dry and challenging seasons, your heart does not harden towards the Lord but desires to be consumed in His presence.
His kingdom is an everlasting kingdom that endures through all generations.
Today, let your soul cling to His nourishment and peace.
