Jesus, We Need You

Repeat- Jesus, we need you.

I can always tell when I have been distant from Jesus and His Word.

My patience dwindles, I am easily distracted, and my gentle voice turns harsh.

Can you relate?

Friend, I need Jesus.

Not just a Sunday morning service kind of Jesus, but each day, I need Him.

I am thankful His mercies are new every morning.

Lamentations 3:22-23 tells us so- “Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness”.

This comforting verse I cling to when the enemy attempts to swoop in and place doubt in my mind about God’s never-ending love for a sinner like me.  

When I am weak, scripture tells me His strength is made perfect in weakness.

When I struggle and mess up, scripture tells me I receive abundant grace and forgiveness.

Friend, let us hold tight to the One who has set us free because His mercies never end but are renewed each morning.

While our flesh may fail, our God never will.

Charles Spurgeon once said, child of God, you cost Christ too much for Him to forget you.

He has forgiven you.

He has redeemed you.

And His mercies are there for you each morning.
