He Chose Not To Forsake Us

He chose not to forsake us, friend.

Though our sin was great, His love was greater.

What a statement this points to of God’s mercy and grace towards us, His children.

While we were still broken and walking in sin, God saw us and did not take pity on us.

Instead, He chose not to forsake us.

John 3:17 says- for God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him.

Scripture is clear- we have done nothing on our end to receive this deliverance.

Our works did not save us.
Our kind hearts did not save us.
Our good deeds did not save us.

Only God has the power to forgive our sins and make us new.

Friend, we are solely saved because we have a loving, heavenly Father whose only Son paid the ultimate sacrifice- laying down His life to forgive our sins and give eternal life to those who believe.

The Bible says, β€œthis is love: not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son as an atoning sacrifice of our sins” (1 John 4:10).

Halleluja!

We no longer live in condemnation but have been cleansed and restored with the blood of Jesus.

Our Savior died for our iniquities, but it gets better- He still lives!

Though the enemy thought he won, death could not hold Him.

And now, how sweet is the sound that saved a wretch like you and me?

For this, let us praise and glorify Him forever more.
