We Have Been Set Apart

Friend, we have been set apart.

Whatever is true.

Whatever is honorable.

Whatever is just.

Whatever is pure.

Whatever is lovely.

Whatever is commendable.

If there is any excellence.

If there is anything worthy of praise.

Think about these things.

The Apostle Paul in Philippians 4:8 reminds us of areas of significance as believers.

Life is full of highs and lows, joys and sorrows, and peace and conflict, but through every season, we are called, as children of God, to seek His greater power in every circumstance.

Why? Because He has set us apart.

Jesus tells us we are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.

We are called to a higher standard because of who He is and whose we are.

Friend, if your heart is weary today if a conflict has risen in your life, or if your thoughts have taken you captive, let me remind you that God does not call us to be passive in our approach to Him but instead to actively seek His dependence and strength.

By filling our minds with the things that are good and honorable, we can stand firm in conduct that is good and honorable.

I pray the God of peace and love will fill your heart with immense joy today.

I pray your heart desires to seek Him first and praise Him daily.

May we make a conscious choice to dwell on the things that are worthy of praise, knowing that the light of Christ and the darkness of all that is evil cannot abide together.
